notice Pine Country Bank says pylon signs yes, electronic message board no, other signs no. So this property wasn't even inspected or authorized properly in 2012....I will be checking their file soon.
RAY SCHULTE IS A MEMBER OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION, WHICH HELPED DETERMINE THE LANGUAGE IN THE SIGN ORDINANCE. THE FISHING MUSEUM SIGN WAS AN ILLEGAL OFF PREMISE SIGN, AS IT WAS HANGING ON A FENCE IN FRONT OF A DIFFERENT BUSINESS LOCATION. IT WAS TAKEN DOWN BECAUSE IT WAS ILLEGAL. NOTICE UNDER THE PERMIT HEADING IT SAYS :YES, FOR CERTIFICATE OF AGE. HOGWASH. THIS WAS CLEARLY A VIOLATION OF THE LAW!!!
Remember, American Legion got a warning letter in 2014 so something is up and they were obviously in violation of the sign ordinance. The letter stated that some of the signs did not have permits.
LIN FURNITURE, OWNED BY LINDA BURGRAFF, WAS POSSIBLY IN VIOLATION OF THE SIGN ORDIINANCE FOR A VERY LONG TIME. Interestingly, she recently changed some if not all of the signs on her building. Later today I will be posting pictures of her new signs. Now ask yourself, why she would change her signs to smaller signs if not in violation of the sign ordinance. This is the gal, who is the ex officio on the city Historic and Planning Commission, that grabbed my sign on June 3, 2013 without my permission, during the city council meeting.
No surprise here....city is deliberately overlooking this important location...the home of the famous "WE SUPPORT OUR TROOPS BANNER" Notice this file is incomplete for total signage on property....gee can you figure out why?
Deml Ins. building
definitely over in 2012...look at the max 52 sq ft and what they have 53.36.
Bank of the West is questionable because the front of the building is not determined on here. They can only use one side of the building, usually the front entrance, for sq footage to base their allowable sign space on. I will be checking this file soon for an update.
