Now somebody tell me, please, where are all the Little Falls and Morrison County people like this?   Do they exist?    Are they too afraid to speak out in an intolerant war community, as they have seen what has been to ostracize me?

Camp Ripley gets free pass??

This is eye popping. I asked the county auditor to help me unravel why Ripley gets to violate the nuisance/noise/glare/dust laws, all the rest of us have to obey. Who were these people that made these exceptions, and why did they do it?  I want to know.  Why did Centrasota (and countless other businesses) have to get a conditional use to store chemicals, and follow county environmental policy, if Camp does not?

Why should Camp Ripley get to cause sleepless nights for their neighbors and kill everything that moves, with their live fire exercise toxins?  I object.  I will report back when I get answers from the auditor.

Both of these pics were taken the day of our "No US Drone Warfare via Ramstein" protest May 26,2015 in front of Camp Ripley. I noticed when I left that these 2 banners appeared to be on the road right of way, as they are in front of the power line poles.well....I was correct.  Richard Munsch (MnDot) confirmed in an email this morning(5-28-15) that they WERE in the Right of Way.  He stated he had asked them earlier this year to move them, and he would have to stop again, and get them removed.

These 2 pictures were taken Aug.6, 2015, just before Rich Munsch had to remove them, because McDuffees wouldn't. 

So the owners of this business,(Gary and Wanda McDuffee, former owners of the closed puppy mill) are blatantly violating MnDot rules.  This bothers me. The second picture below, is Mr. Cruella, I believe is business partner/owner with Wanda(Cruella)Kretzman(former Mrs. McDuffee) 

Now you might wonder why this is important and bothers me.  Well besides the fact they care not about the law...they are also very nasty.

 This same business, called a towing company to have one of our participants car towed, for parking on their property during a recent past protest.  The owner of the car didn't realize he was not on the gas station property, who had given us permission to park on their property.  This gentleman whose car was supposed to be towed, was a veteran.  He got to the car before they towed it, but the towing company charged him for the call.  He is of little means and this hurt him financially. It also shows their disdain for vets.  Just absolutely rotten of Main Gate owners/staff/whoever made the call.  A decent person would have walked out and inquired whose car it was and asked them nicely to move it.  $

The hypocrisy is stunning.

This sign is illegal because it's in the right of way AND illegally affixed to a city road marker. 

 These two signs were photographed on 5-27-15. Zion Lutheran is Councilman Jerry Knaflas church.  Zion Lutheran was sent a warning letter for another illegal off premise sign advertising their church, so they are well aware of the sign ordinance restrictions for signs not on ones own property.  I have a copy of that letter.  

It is unacceptable that Little Falls businesses, churches, non-profits and many residents feel above the law.  The city needs to improve on their enforcement and informing the public as to what is allowable and what is not. One announcement, years ago in the water bill just doesn't cut it.

One lone counterprotestor who obviously agrees with ILLEGAL US drone assassinations. I bet he thinks ANYTHING THE TROOPS DO IS OK.

I wonder just exactly what audit "issues" the United Way was having when Greg Zylka was a member?   Listen at 1 hour 30 seconds into the video, where he seems to caution the city about becoming a fiscal agent for the grants for EEI.  Maybe Mayor Zylka will explain to the public, what he is referencing.  I wonder why the city goes to the trouble of accepting donations from the Lions, the West Side Improvement Association, the Royalton Fire Department and others, then turns around and has city staff pay their gas, electric, and maintenance bills.

http://mcrecord.com/2015/05/14/little-falls-needs-to-update-city-website/ Jake Wiherskis last sentence reads "Maybe, for the sake of tourism, Little Falls should put a "big top" over the whole city, purchase year-around carnival rides, elephants, tigers and bears, and call it a circus."  While he was at it, Jake should have asked why the city council meetings are not posted on the city website yet?   Why is it that the council does not want the work sessions publicized, since these are open to the public meetings.  What is it that they want to keep in the dark?  You can now watch the work sessions that I am recording, on local channel 180, at 9 AM every Tuesday and Saturday morning, if you have Charter TV in Little Falls.  The writer asks the question of city staff, why wasn't a current photo of the new council posted on the city website before now?   Let's see now, when was Jerry Knafla picked to fill Greg Zylkas position?  How many months ago was that?   It's not like they hire a professional photographer to take the official picture.  Lori Kasella took the photo, and it wasn't taken until the last council meeting, held on May 4, 2015.  Go figure.  Tis how they do things roun hea'.  Backwards and slow.  City employees that work at city hall, are paid waaaaay too much money, for the less than stellar job that they have and are continuing to get by with.   Pathetic.

As I have said before, with good reason, this is the City of Clowns. That is being acknowledged by someone else now, and for a much lesser city hall failure, than what I have pointed out over the past 4+ years. 

The Little Falls 8 (former and current), may rise further in the media in the near future, for a variety of reasons.  Time will tell. 
In the City Council packet for Monday nights meeting 5-18-15, the desired qualifications/requirements are listed for the new city administrator.  I wonder who that lucky candidate will be, and if she or he is really up to the task?   Of course, the ability to work on helping the council revise the comprehensive plan and ordinances is amongst the requirements.  Good luck.

Gambling and city "Agency" fund

I thought some of you might be interested to know that gambling money from the Lions and West Side Association is run through the city books and the city pays for expenses of the Lions facilities and more. I asked Lori Kasella today 5-15-15 whose idea this was and she said she didn't know.  She said the council did not have to approve every fund the city has.  She stated this fund was started in 2013, the same year Dan Vogt became the city administrator.  Prior to his hiring, Lori Kasella and Dan Vogt were co-city administrators. She is the financial administrator for the city, but she doesn't know?  Right.  Wonder what they are hiding.  Notice even another citys fire department(Royalton) runs money through this fund.  So does the LFCHS school(for golf program).  So the city of Little Falls is paying for expenses of a non-profit(West Side Association and Lions) after they make a donation to the city.  City pays gas and electric bill, mowing and other upkeep as you can see by the payouts.  I would sure like to know the reason the city is doing this.  Wouldn't you?

Now why on earth they chose the west entrance where there is NO PARKING on the closest street(First Street)is beyond me.  Wouldn't you think the ADA door for disabled folks should be the front entrance?  Not in this city of clowns.

SEH firm(Greg Kimman's former employer) paid 2K for LFARC development plan

Now why is this important? Because former Mayor Cathy VanRisseghem stated on more than one occassion, that the city should give the job of developing a plan for the proposed Little Falls Area Recreational Complex(ballfields, splashpad, splashpad, and more) to SEH firm that Greg was employed with, at the time he made this plan.

 VanRisseghem bragged about how his firm was discounting this fee by thousands of dollars.

Of course, after Greg was given the position of Public Works Director, right after this(alleged) donation was made, the city has NO recollection of this.  Lori Kasella has stated that Cathy may have made this claim, but that doesn't mean anything.  I asked to see the donation filing by SEH, but there is none.  Other firms, that gave free labor or hauling services, filled out a donation slip with the city. When I find the video of when Cathy made these claims I will post them.
