Listen as Nathan Ness questions Jason Metsa on the negative consequences ALL MINING creates.   There are still taconite tailing ponds in Northern Minnesota that are leaching toxins into the lakes and streams.   I don't believe there has ever been any type of mining done that doesn't create environmental devastation.   The taxpayers always get stuck with the bill....not the for- profit corporations that suck all the wealth and then leave.  This is just not acceptable.
