Take a look at the latest FOOLISH idea....city spent close to $400.00 for these flowers and the areas they are planted in, are once again full of weeds. This $$ does NOT INCLUDE city staff time to plant them either....which I am sure was HUNDREDS MORE. Flowers cannot thrive planted next to a large tree, that will sap all the moisture. This was a very poor idea. Why on earth can't the people in charge of public monies think better? I even tried to help them, by telling them that the trees needed the water and IF flowers were going to be planted downtown, they needed better soil and daily watering. Come on business community...this doesn't enhance the downtown landscape. Pictures taken 7-30-15.
Sorry if this posts twice. The flowers were planted by volunteers on the "Day of Caring" I was there.
