The ad says the bids must be in by June 22, 2016....which means these lots will only be on the open market for 30 days. I asked Jon Radermacher city administrator, why they are only on open the market for one month, instead of 3 months. What's the rush.He has not answered my email.
Perhaps the rush is so that the person who offered the city 18k, ends up getting the lot.
I also asked if city was currently in negotiations with the person who offered 18k for the lot at 220 First St. SE (that has a market value of 39k).
The EDA held the closed meeting on Monday May 16, 2016 to discuss this potential offer. That's the reason Mark Gerbi called for the closed meeting.
Jon Radermacher said the city was NOT currently in negotiations with them. I asked why not. He has not answered that question either.
Perhaps because they were NOT SUPPOSED to be in negotiations on a lot the EDA minutes stated, was to be put on the market. Perhaps.
