at 7:30 minutes in, listen as Loren Boyum talks about the negative comments he has heard.
at 15:30 minutes in, listen as Lori Kasella inserts her opinion(not sure if this is part of her job description or if she should be making these comments instead, during the public hearing comment time, just like any other person, except that I don't believe Lori Kasella lives in the city limits....but that still would not prohibit her from speaking at a public hearing)
at 16:20 minutes in, listen as Boyum talks about one of the tender points is that this area of the city was just annexed into city limits, and property taxes went way up due to that, and this street improvement would put more tax burden on all the residents along DeRosier Drive.
at 16:30 minutes in, listen to Frank Gosiak as he tells how other projects in the past have been turned down, like 7th street northwest(his ward)
at 17 minutes in, listen as Lori Kasella chastises him and says that other projects that were turned down, could be re-petitioned again. But the city officials never tell petitioners that. How are they to know. She also advocates/promotes the DeRosier Drive street improvements, because they will create a new tax base. Not sure, but it seems like this may be a conflict of interest for her, and not part of her job. Is it true that Lori Kasella is friends with Dodee and Jim Colombe who own property on DeRosier Drive? I have heard that they are friends and attend the same church, Belle Prairie Catholic Church. This is why I think perhaps Lori has a conflict of interest. And since there is still no CONFLICT OF INTEREST CITY POLICY, anything goes. Right?
