The PATHETIC STATE of Minnesota's Foster Care System.

This is totally UNACCEPTABLE and a travesty to EVERY SINGLE CHILD STUCK in Minnesota's Foster Care System.  I knew that the Northstar program would be a disaster in lowering foster care stipend, so the state could level the playing field and make adoption subsidy for difficult to place children" equal to that of foster care stipends for the same child.  In other words, why on earth would a system designed to get kids stuck in the system without a forever home, not be funded at the same amount that foster parents receive.  It doesn't make sense. The money has been lob-sided for decades.There have been numerous studies to show that kids always do much better in a forever home-permanent placement....rather than a foster care home, until they age out of the system.  Minnesota's legislators FAILED grievously, by not funding this program properly. Shame on all Minnesotans for ALLOWING THIS.  ***** vote the BUMS OUT ****

JUST WAIT TIL THE LAWSUITS START ROLLING IN.  Any child that did not get adopted, because the state has not properly funded the program designed to promote that, has a really good case against the state.  The attorney could argue  that his client was discriminated against, and did not get adopted, because of an inadequately funded system. And they will likely WIN.  Where are the probono attorneys willing to adopt these kids? In my opinion, ALL CHILDREN have 2 birthrights....a "forever home", and breast milk for at least the first year of life....2 years would be better.
