Little Falls city council full work session and full city council meeting 6-1-15

Highlights of the work session are 1. a city staff neglected to send out the mandated public hearing notifications to ALL of the adjoining property owners on DeRosier Drive.  Who made the error?  Wendy Zylka, the mayors wife who works in the front office?  Were Dan Vogt city administrator, and Lori Kasella finance officer covering for her by refusing to answer my question, which city staff was responsible?  Betcha they were.  She has messed up a number of important tasks in the past.   Or was it Greg Kimman public works director? (doubtful).  Or did the city choose to not perform this task on purpose to ramrod through the DeRosier street improvement projects? The council had to table these two public hearings until a later date, and will have to republish 2 public hearing notices, twice(the street projects are 2 separate projects, East and West DeRosier and each requires a separate public hearing and public hearing notice in the Morrison County Record.  Because of Gerald Knaflas change of mind on the last vote on DeRosier Drive street improvements, also cost the city taxpayers extra money, as once he decided to change his vote from no to yes, they had to send out notices to all the adjoining property owners, and publish 4 more public hearing notices in the McRecord.   That means folks, that our city had to pay for 8 extra public hearing announcements, because of these 2 blunders.  I am researching how much these 8 extra public hearings have cost the city taxpayers. When the city gets my data request done, I will report it on this blog.

2. the Social Host ordinance was discussed (tacked onto Ordinance 78 and passed during the council meeting that followed this work session.

3. Golf Advisory Board ordinance(that the city is guilty of violating for more than 27 years, since it was passed in 1989) deletion and new Golf policies and ordinances were discussed and this passed during the council meeting that followed this work session, ordinance number 73.
Like Jake Wiherski has said, Little Falls isn't a city, it's a circus.  All they need are the red noses and clown outfits.   He suggested putting a bigtop tent over the entire city and calling it a circus.   I agree.  City of Clowns, with the Little Falls 8 at the helm.
