Barret Petfood Innovations is out in the country north of Pierz(where if there was an odor, most people wouldn't know about it.) I have not driven out there, so am not sure it has a stench to it, but most petfood processing plants do. The placement of the plant is to be north of Walmart, the Country Inn and Perkins Restaurant. It's across the highway from a large daycare, many homes and to the southeast, behind Aldi, there are many homes in the new development. If it does smell, everyone in town will smell it, depending on the winds.

If you are concerned, you might want to attend the public hearing this Monday night. The public hearing starts at 7:30pm city council chambers and the work session to hear the discussion starts at 7pm. Your tax dollars are going to be used.
