I just confirmed with Lori Kasella (city hall) 7-22-16, that Josh Stumpf did NOT have a REQUIRED sandwich sign permit OR the REQUIRED million dollar liability insurance policy, to place a sandwich board sign on the sidewalk. Notice behind the sign in the background, the 2 trucks (black and blue) parked ILLEGALLY ON THE SIDEWALK.
This sign PLACED ON THE SIDEWALK was totally ILLEGAL.
Then I happened to be at the police department on business earlier today 7-22-16, and discovered this.....
Now this truck with Josh Stumpfs sign on top of is parked ILLEGALLY smack dab in the middle of the SIDEWALK. So I pointed this out to Kathy Barthel, the police dispatcher, and she stated she would call and ask him to move the truck.Josh, if you want to have more signage to celebrate/support police-sheriffs actions, now is the time. Anyone can erect UNLIMITED signs/banners/flags on their own property until November 14th, because our legislature allows unlimited speech during a general election.
Plaster the entire side of your building if you want. Just in case you didn't know that.
A little while later I drove by on another errand in that area and saw the truck was finally parked legally on the street. The sign can legally be on the top of truck, as long as it's attached safely so it doesn't blow off into the street or sidewalk area.
