I am really dissappointed in my 2 council ward 1 representatives, Leif Hanson and Raquel Lundberg. Since when can HPC decide that just because an historic building is in the middle of the block, they can allow improvements that are normally disallowed?  They are making the rules up as they go....same as they did with my case. Shame on all of them. Gary Block, Linda LeMieur and everyone else on the HPC committee should know better. This is outright discrimination.

Raquel Lundberg 2-7-22 UPDATED on Briscoe's metal roof permit denial, and Johnny C's metal roof approval. 2-7-22 Little Falls city council work session and council meeting.

 Listen to the work session right at the beginning, as Councilor Raquel Lundberg, discusses the problems with Briscoe's metal roof permit denial, but HPC did approve the metal roof on Johnny C's building in 2015.  The city BETTER revisit this, or risk another lawsuit.  I am confident Briscoe's would win, were they to pursue legal advice, and file a lawsuit.  Who pays?  You do.   We all do, if the city is sued.

Pure bulldoodoo during 2-22-22 work session discussion....HPC bends the rules willy nilly to give preference to "some" and not others. Just plain discrimination.  Just plain wrong. Shame on this council, HPC committee and city.

Bill McGrath presentation "Looking back at my grandfather James E. McGrath, the lumber tycoon" Stillwater, Mn

I am the last grandson of one of Minnesota's last lumber barons. James E. McGrath(1861-1940) employed more than 1, 200 men in the vicinity of Aitkin County's Snake River.  They cut down white pines which----around 1900---were floated down to Stillwater sawmills.  The town of McGrath, Mn is named for this remarkable man. My grandfather's fortune allowed him to buy one of the finest mansions, which is the house where I grew up in the 1950's. But by then, the money was gone.  So the story you are about to hear is a rags-to-riches tale about a man whose first job was sweeping sawdust in a mill. This is the local clown that has no idea that signs in the public right of way, are ALWAYS illegal.....Little Falls city council and law enforcement NEVER enforced it.  Just like they don't enforce all the ILLEGAL ATVs, golf carts and other unlicensed vehicles on our streets.

 If this doesn't concern you, then you are a part of the problem.  Time, Place, and Manner must be honored....especially in our military, or we are doomed.   All military personnel that refuse vaccine for covid should be court martialed.....just as Weinstein states.  Nobody in the military gets to proselytize. Nobody. You would be wise to watch the entire video.   Every second of it and let it sink in.
